What is forestry mulching?

Forestry mulching uses a heavy-duty rotating mulcher head mounted on a compact track loader to cut, grind, and shred vegetation in place. Brush, briars, saplings, and small trees are processed into a layer of wood mulch left on the ground. Unlike bulldozer clearing, there are no burn piles and no debris to haul away — the mulch layer helps reduce erosion and gradually returns organic material to the soil.

Our CAT 275 compact track loader uses wide, low-ground-pressure rubber tracks that allow us to navigate sloped and uneven terrain. Extremely steep grades may limit what we can safely access. We'll assess your property and let you know what's feasible.

What does gravel driveway regrading include?

Accepted Answer

Regrading involves scarifying the existing surface to loosen compacted gravel, redistributing material to fill potholes and ruts, re-establishing the center crown so water sheds to the sides, and shaping the edges. Depending on the service level you choose, it may also include hand-finishing of edges and vibratory compaction for a tighter, more stable surface.

Every drainage project starts with an on-site assessment because the right solution depends on your property's terrain, soil, slope, and runoff patterns.

Hydroseeding sprays a blend of seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier directly onto prepared soil for even coverage and strong seed-to-soil contact. It works well for new lawns, backyards, slopes, and larger areas where sod would be cost-prohibitive. Germination depends on seed type, soil temperature, moisture, and weather — we provide watering guidance but cannot guarantee a specific growth timeline.

What is the difference between hydroseeding and straw or hay mulch?

Hydroseeding applies seed, mulch, fertilizer, and tackifier in a single spray — it's designed to grow grass while stabilizing soil. Straw and hay mulch is a ground cover applied over exposed soil for immediate erosion protection. It does not include seed. The two serve different purposes and can be used together depending on your goals.
